Description:This postcard view shows what is now the main A34 Cannock to Stafford Road disappearing into the distance. The Penkridge to Rugeley Road comes from the left and onwards to Rugeley Camp. The junction is now a roundabout.

The gateway and narrow track to the right of the crossroads is leading to the Pottal Pool and what would also in later years also be a lido. Today, the site is a large aggregate quarry meeting the ever increasing demands of local buildings and road construction.

Just behind the finger post is an old entrance to the Teddesley Estate. Old wrought iron gates have recently been erected there showing the route of the old track.
