Description:The location of this photograph is hard to place, but it shows two interesting buildings. Firstly, the compound attached to the rear of one of the huts which could have been an additional storage area to a store room. Secondly, a good side-on view of the ablutions and latrines block which where smaller huts than others. A sets of plans have been located that detail the setting up of a "Standing Camp for one Battalion or Infantry War Strength" and it actually shows an external yard on the rear of the Sergeants' Mess, therefore it may well be that structure in the postcard. In the yard it details that there was a coal store, a urinal and two water closets.
