Description:Long before the gravel pit was opened at the bottom of Old Acre Lane, Brocton there were fields lined with hedgerows. The land rising to the right is Tar Hill where "J" Lines were situated. Centre of the photograph can be seen a number of troops gathered together at the base of the hill. Down this valley were laid some of the miles of sewage pipelines that covered the Camps and terminated at one of the two filtration plants that treated the waste of Brocton Camp.
