Description:The Amphitheatre Garden was designed by W.A. Nesfieldmin 1852
The present Sandon Hall was built in about 1850 after the earlier building had burnt down. It was designed in the Jacobean style by William Burn.
The gardens were landscaped in the early nineteenth century and several follies were added, including the Pitt Column, Percival's Shrine and a tower which originally adorned the top of Trentham Hall. The park also contains a late eighteenth century ice house.
