Description:On the right of the image is the Camp Post Office, situated in front of one the hus used for religious worship.

The cyclists have passed one of the many indoor rifle ranges on their left where raw recruits would learn to fire a rifle before going on to the large bore rifle ranges. In front of them the military railway will appear from the left as it meanders through the Camp and heads to the large Ordnance Store past the Power Station and deep water wells. Brocton is different to Rugeley Camp in many ways, including the need to produce their own electricity and draw water from deep below the ridge which the Camp is built upon. Rugeley Camp was able to link into the local water and electricity supplies. Until the Post Office was up and running all the Camp post would have to be collected and sent from Milford Post Office.
