Description:Elizabeth Smallwood and her niece Lizzie ran a tea shop from the front room of this house in Oldacre Lane, Brocton. They used to cater for Sunday School parties from Stafford who visited the Chase. They had a big tea room built in the garden to cater for the summer trade. Elizabeth died in 1924, the house was demolished and a pair semi-detached houses built on the site. These houses were built for the Works Manager and Company Secretary of Brocton Gravel Company.

Titled as Old Acre Hall, but in reality this is Old Acre Cottage. Information from Margaret Smallwood, cousin of Lizzie Smallwood and published in "Down Memory Lane" in 1993 by Jim Foley, Youth & Community Worker at Walton High School.
