Description:The cottage on the right was the home of Eliza Jane (Jinney) Alderson during World War 1. Her parents had moved into the cottage in1866 and Jinney lived there for the rest of her life. She died in 1960. During World War 1 the shop was very busy, selling chocolate, tobacco and postcards to soldiers.
