Description:Milford and Brocton Station opened to passenger traffic in 1877 and goods traffic in 1882. Milford was a popular destination from Stafford in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, bringing people to the area to enjoy Cannock Chase. During World War I soldiers and Prisoners of War would arrive and depart from this station. The station closed to passenger traffic in 1950. At that time the fare from Milford to Stafford by train was 11.5d single and 4.5d on the bus!
