Description:Brocton Hall was bought from Mrs Mary Chetwynd to develop an 18 hole golf course in the grounds. The original golf course was on Cannock Chase at MIlford. The original club house built in 1898 was burnt down when the thatched roof caught fire in March 1922. On Thursday July 12, 1923, the 4th Earl of Lichfield officially opened the new course at Brocton Hall by driving down the fairway from the first tee.
