Description:Tha Barley Mow on Milford Common was built by Sir George Chetwynd of Brocton Hall in 1780 to cater for the passing stage coaches and their passengers. By the time of this postcard cars were needing petrol. From 1915 to 1919 the pub was run by Joseph Bertam Bullock.

Published for G. Pierce, Walton Stores, Walton. Walton Stores was run from a small house on the main A513 opposite Green Gore Lane and Walton Village Hall. George Pierce died in 1929
